Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information may be handled when someone visits Arenac County Busted Mugshots, uses an outside search feature, or sends us a message. Government sites and third-party services linked from these guides have their own privacy practices.

Information That May Be Collected

A search entered into an embedded or linked search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool, not to an Arenac County office. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and the contact details you supply. Servers and service providers may also record technical data such as an IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate visit time.

Cookies and Similar Tools

Cookies or comparable browser storage may support site functions, remember preferences, measure traffic, or help advertising and analytics partners understand use. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some features.

How Data Is Used

Information may be used to operate and secure the site, answer messages, repair errors, understand general usage, improve the guides, and prevent abuse. Contact details are not used to retrieve an Arenac County booking record or confirm custody because this site is not a government office.

Data may be handled by search partners, hosting or analytics providers, and advertising networks as needed to supply their services. It may also be disclosed when required by a valid legal order, to law enforcement through lawful process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or site security. We do not sell a government booking database because none is hosted here.

Links may lead to the Arenac County Sheriff’s Department, county FOIA pages, Michigan courts, MDOC, federal locators, news outlets, or independent search tools. We do not control how those sites collect, retain, or disclose data. Review each service’s current terms and privacy notice before submitting a name or other information.

Security and Retention

Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website, email, or internet transmission can be guaranteed secure. Information is retained only as reasonably needed for operations, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security, subject to provider practices. Avoid sending Social Security numbers, financial details, or other sensitive identifiers.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from minors. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information submitted directly to us, or object to certain processing. These rights do not extend to records held by Arenac County, Michigan courts, MDOC, or another publisher. Michigan’s Consumer Protection Act, MCL 445.901 et seq., may provide protections against unfair or deceptive practices, but it does not turn this site into the custodian of government records.
